Hand-dyed Drowned Wildwood Reverie Duvet Set: Black Green and White Bedding

Inspired by the black sea stacks rising from the shoreline of La Push, Drowned Wildwood Reverie is a hand-dyed study in deep green-black, weathered earth, and open white.

The color gathers densely across the fabric, appearing nearly black from a distance before revealing undertones of deep evergreen and faint traces of earthen red. Along its edges, the dye feathers and breaks apart organically, echoing the evergreens that cling to the tops of the stacks and the Pacific foam unraveling against the rock below.

Large expanses of white give the darker color room to move, creating a composition that feels less like a repeating pattern and more like a landscape stretched across the bed.

Each duvet is individually hand-dyed, allowing the boundaries, feathering, and depth of color to develop naturally. No two pieces will be exactly alike.

Made from 100% brushed cotton, Drowned Wildwood Reverie is dyed on both sides and paired with coordinating hand-dyed pillowcases. Finished with a hidden zipper closure.

Our duvet sets are designed with comfort, atmosphere, and a slightly irresistible lived-in look in mind.

Crafted from 100% brushed cotton, our bedding offers the softly rumpled look of linen with the comforting feel of cotton. The fabric continues to soften beautifully with every wash, becoming more relaxed, more lived-in, and increasingly difficult to leave behind.

Each set includes one duvet cover and two pillowcases.

100% brushed cotton with the softly textured look of linen and the familiar softness of cotton.

Hidden zipper enclosure on all duvet covers.

Pillowcases feature an envelope-style closure for a clean, relaxed finish.

Duvet covers and pillowcases are dyed as complete pieces, allowing color, movement, and texture to carry beautifully across both front and back.

You’ll notice our duvet covers do not include corner ties, intentionally so.

Over time, ties can place tension on duvet corners, making them more vulnerable to wear. In service of longevity, we’ve chosen to forgo them in favor of a simpler approach that feels gentler on your bedding, and, truthfully, less fussy to live with.

A gentle shake in the morning is usually enough to pull everything casually back into place, beautifully undone, just as we like it.

Our pieces are created through a hand-dyed process that embraces spontaneity and nuance. When colors mingle, particularly within our ice-dyed work, subtle pigment shifts, unexpected specks, or quiet traces of neighboring hues may occasionally appear.

A blush palette may carry a quiet whisper of blue. Gold may drift unexpectedly through rose. Not everywhere, and never quite the same way twice.

These moments are not defects, but part of the art itself, evidence of a process that resists perfect replication and gives each piece its own singular character.

We work carefully to create consistency while honoring the handcrafted, beautifully unpredictable nature of the medium.

And truthfully? Our duvets are softer, richer, and far more beautiful in person than a photograph could ever persuade you to believe. But don’t take our word for it, our reviews have plenty to say.

BEAUTIFULLY ONE OF A KIND

Every piece is individually hand-dyed, and the final result is influenced by a combination of the fabric, the movement of the dye, water, temperature, and the natural interaction between them. These elements create subtle variations in pattern, depth, and tone that cannot be perfectly repeated.

The photographs represent the design, color palette, and overall character of the piece you will receive. Your duvet will always reflect that same artistic vision, while the movement of the pattern and the layering of color will be uniquely yours.

Just as no two pieces of marble are cut from the exact same vein, no two Embedded duvets can ever be perfectly replicated. Each piece belongs to the same collection and artistic vision, yet develops its own character through the handmade process.

CARE

Machine wash cold, and let your duvet have the machine to itself.

Hand-dyed pillowcases should be washed separately on cold for their first wash.

All bedding may be tumble dried.

Lightly press your linens, or leave them beautifully undone for an easy, vintage-worn look.

MADE THOUGHTFULLY

Our bedding is crafted from OEKO-TEX® STANDARD 100 certified textiles, meaning the fabrics have been tested for harmful substances and meet high safety standards.

Embedded is committed to reducing waste and unnecessary chemical usage wherever possible.

Our linens are washed using Molly’s Suds, our products are packaged in biodegradable paper and boxes, and we thoughtfully source materials with longevity and lower impact in mind.

We’re also proud that our bedding is made in the USA.

Returns & Exchanges

Each Embedded piece is individually hand dyed with care and created to be lived with. Because of the handmade nature of our work—and because bedding belongs to one of the most personal spaces in the home—we generally do not accept returns or exchanges.

The Beauty of Hand Dyeing

No two Embedded pieces will ever be exactly alike. Slight variations in color, tone, placement, and pattern are a natural part of the hand-dyeing process. We work carefully to create consistency while preserving the organic character that makes each piece uniquely its own.

These subtle variations are part of the beauty of handmade and are not considered defects.

If Something Isn’t Right

We want you to feel confident ordering from us. If your piece arrives damaged, you receive the wrong item, or there is a problem with your order, please contact us within 7 days of delivery and we’ll make it right.

Because each piece is individually hand dyed, we cannot accept returns or exchanges for changes of mind, color preference, or variations inherent to the hand-dyeing process.
